FAQs
-
We specialize in treating adults and young adults struggling with mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation. Many of our patients come to us after trying other treatments that haven't fully addressed their symptoms — especially those dealing with overlapping symptoms or "mixed" presentations that don’t fit neatly into a single diagnosis.
-
We practice what we call 4-Dimensional Psychiatry — recognizing that symptoms and needs change over time. That means we don't just prescribe a medication and assume it will work forever. We collaborate closely with you, reassess regularly, and adjust the treatment plan based on how you’re actually feeling and functioning — not just the textbook diagnosis.
-
No. While medication management is a key part of treatment, we also emphasize education, diagnostic clarity, and collaboration with your broader care team (including therapists). We help you understand your symptoms, treatment options, and what to expect — so you can make informed decisions about your mental health.
-
We take a careful, nuanced approach to diagnosis. Many patients are misdiagnosed or overlooked — especially those with mixed features, mood lability, or overlapping symptoms like executive dysfunction. We look beyond checklists to understand the full picture of how your symptoms have evolved over time.
-
After your initial evaluation, we’ll determine a follow-up schedule that makes sense for your needs — often every 2–6 weeks during medication changes, and less frequently once things stabilize. If you're experiencing new or worsening symptoms, we always make time to reassess quickly.
-
Absolutely. Many of our patients come in feeling stuck on medications that don’t seem to help — or that cause side effects. We’ll work with you to identify whether your current meds are the right fit, and discuss alternative strategies if they’re not.
