OUR APPROACH
Too often, mood disorders are treated with a “one-size-fits-all” model. We take a different path: we listen for the subtleties. Whether you're navigating cycles of agitation and fatigue, mood crashes that don't quite meet criteria, or meds that seem to make things worse before better—we work with you to create a treatment plan that fits your lived experience.
We specialize in recognizing patterns others might miss—like mixed depression, atypical presentations, and executive dysfunction that doesn't fit neatly into diagnostic boxes. Our goal isn't just symptom relief—it's helping you feel like yourself again, with clarity, energy, and stability that lasts.
-
When standard antidepressants aren’t enough, we dig deeper. We specialize in uncovering overlooked mood patterns—such as subtle bipolarity or mixed features—that may be driving persistent symptoms. Our treatment plans are thoughtful, evidence-informed, and adaptive, with a focus on restoring function and hope.
-
Mood disorders rarely follow textbook patterns. At Colorado Mood Center, we specialize in recognizing the full range of mood presentations—including mixed states, mood instability, and atypical features that often go undiagnosed. We take time to understand each individual’s unique history and response patterns to guide more effective, personalized treatment—especially in cases that haven’t responded to standard care.
-
We look beyond surface-level symptoms to understand the full picture. Our approach carefully distinguishes ADHD from other causes of inattention—like mood instability, trauma, or anxiety—ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment. We tailor interventions to fit each person’s needs, whether that includes medication, behavioral strategies, or addressing coexisting conditions.
-
We don’t treat anxiety as a one-size-fits-all condition. Whether it stems from a biologic sensitivity, trauma history, or mood dysregulation, we work to understand what’s behind the anxiety. Our treatment plans may include targeted medication, lifestyle support, and collaboration with therapists to help patients regain calm and control.
-
We accept most major insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and more. Contact us or view our Headway scheduling site to find out if we accept your insurance plan.
